Make It!
How Beer and Wine is made:
A homebrewer can legally make up to 100 gallons of beer or wine a year or, if 2 adults are living in the house, 200 gallons per year. The concept of making wine or beer is very simple, yet man spends years and many dollars attempting to make the perfect drink. There are thousands of ingredients, many different accessories, as well as multiple techniques used in making beer and wine. The main ingredients for making Beer are grain (such as barley and wheat), water, hops and yeast. The water and cracked grain is combined at a specific temperature. The enzymes within the grain converts the starches to simple sugars. The product of this process is called wort. The wort is then boiled and hops are added. The hops adds flavor and preserves the final product. The wort is then cooled and yeast is added. Within 3 to 10 days the yeast converts the simple sugars to alcohol and the beer is either kegged or bottled.
Wine is made by mashing grapes or fruit and adding yeast. The must is fermented into wine and aged until the desired taste is obtained. The wine is then kegged or bottled and aged.
It's easy, Cheers!
